Bayshore
Shopping Spree
(Familiar Mall w/ NEW Look &
Atmosphere)
www.bayshoretowncenter.com
Bayshore Town Center
5800 N. Bayshore Dr.
Glendale, WI 53217
(414) 332-8136
Enjoy a walk outside along "real"
city streets, as you discover that
you are still able to navigate the
bulk of the mall from indoors.
Horse-drawn
carriages... shopping... dining...
and more. Inside the mall itself,
Bayshore veterans will recognize
bits of the old place. From about
the middle, north to Sears, it appears
that not much has changed. But south
toward Boston Store, the place feels
much different.
Enjoy
restaurants such as Bravo! and Devon
Seafood Grill boasting spacious
outdoor dining areas offering a
view of the Town Square garden.
Bayshore Town Center looks as though
it's going to be a great holiday
shopping source but even better
as a summer spot for social gathering
and fun. |
Milwaukee
Arts Museum

Tour Scheduler
700 N. Art Museum Drive
Milwaukee, WI 53202
(414) 224-3842
The Milwaukee Arts Museum has its
roots in two Milwaukee art groups
from the 1880s. These organizations
and their collections merged under
one roof for the first time in 1957.
The Museum and its holdings continued
to grow over the decades. In 2001,
a major addition put the Museum
on the map, nationally as well as
internationally.
The Quadracci Pavilion, the first
Calatrava-designed building to be
completed in the United States,
opened in 2001 to rave reviews.
The expansion project included new
exhibition galleries and an auditorium,
as well as a museum store and cafe.
In addition, the Museum completely
renovated and remodeled its Collection
galleries. |
Milwaukee
Public Zoo
www.milwaukeezoo.org
10001 West Blue Mound Road
Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 53226
Information: (414) 256-5412
The Milwaukee County Zoo is a serene
home to more than 1,700 mammals,
birds, fish, amphibians and reptiles
with more than 350 species represented.
However, the Zoo has become more
than that to visitors. It is a site
for workshops, holiday celebrations,
summer concerts and food festivals.
Recognized
as one of the country’s finest
zoological attractions, the Milwaukee
County Zoo serves as a resource
to educate, entertain and inspire.
Today,
the Milwaukee County Zoo is among
the top zoos in the nation. It is
an accredited institution of the
Association of Zoos and Aquariums
(AZA). In recent years, the Zoo
has become increasingly involved
in the propagation and conservation
of endangered species. The Zoo is
currently engaged in several significant
breeding programs, including Humboldt
penguins and Trumpeter swans. Our
Zoo is also home to a troop of 21
bonobos, a highly endangered species
of great ape. Each new birth of
a bonobo marks a definite sign of
the Zoo’s commitment to conservational
programs such as the Species Survival
Plan (SSP) in which the Zoo participates. |
